Cordless phones, cordless tools, cordless vacuums, cordless television. Broadcasting has gone wireless, cutting the cord from the traditional days of cable television. Now, you can watch all your favorite shows and events wherever, whenever. Of course, there is something funny about trading in a 60-inch television for a six-inch smartphone screen to view countless amounts of content, but that's how the world works. As streaming services have grown in popularity, sports leagues are realizing it's time to get in line or get run over. The NFL is no different. They've hopped on the streaming bandwagon and in a big way. "Thursday Night Football" is exclusively available on Prime Video. Peacock had a streaming-exclusive playoff game in 2023 and the Brazil game in 2024. Netflix took over the Christmas schedule, and more cord-cutting broadcasts promise to be on the way. Of course, NFL Sunday Ticket is now on YouTube TV and NFL+ promises plenty of content throughout the season. While streaming has quickly caught up to cable in terms of cost, that doesn't seem to be slowing down this freight train. Here's a look at the NFL's streaming exclusive games in 2025. Date:Beginning in Week 2 Stream:Prime Video Just like it has been since Amazon took over in 2022, NFL games on Thursday nights can be found exclusively on Prime Video unless you live in the local market. That will be the case all season long, starting when the "TNF on Prime" slate begins in Week 2. Date:Friday, Sept. 5 Stream:YouTube Matchup:Chargersvs.Chiefs After Peacock broadcasted the game in Brazil in 2024, YouTube is taking over the matchup in Sao Paulo this year. While the streamer's YouTube TV is the home for the "Sunday Ticket" package, it will be the first time YouTube airs a game live on their platform. NBC will produce the game, but it's a high-profile matchup between the Chargers and Chiefs in Week 1. More importantly for NFL fans, the game will be available for free. Date:Monday, Oct. 20 Stream:ESPN+ Matchup:Seattle Seahawks vs.Houston Texans ESPN is bringing back "Monday Night Football" doubleheaders in 2025, with some weeks having games at 7 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET. In Week 7, the Seahawks and Texans will be the late game as Mike Macdonald's new-look Seattle squad takes on another revamped team from Houston. It'll be an ESPN+ exclusive, meaning you'll need a subscription to watch this contest from the Pacific Northwest. Date:Friday, Nov. 28 Stream:Prime Video Matchup:Eagles vs. Bears The Eagles have the privilege of hosting the Bears for the third annual Black Friday game on Prime Video, which began in 2023 when the Jets hosted the Dolphins and continued in 2024 as the Chiefs defeated the Raiders. Now it's Chicago and Philadelphia's turn in the day after Thanksgiving spotlight. Get ready to heat up those leftovers, shop until you drop and take in an afternoon of football from the City of Brotherly Love. Date:Thursday, Dec. 25 Stream:Netflix Matchup:Commanders vs. Cowboys | Vikings vs. Lions Netflix's first NFL Christmas was successful, so they're running it back in 2025. They have a doubleheader of divisional clashes as part of the league's tripleheader on the holiday. The Commanders and Cowboys get things started from Maryland at 1 p.m. ET and then Vikings host the Lions at 4:30 p.m. ET. Date:Thursday, Dec. 25 Stream:Prime Video Matchup:Chiefs vs. Broncos Closing out the Christmas slate is Prime Video's "Thursday Night Football" game between the Chiefs and Broncos in Kansas City. Since the holiday falls on a Thursday this year, it took no schedule maneuvering to sneak an extra game into the schedule. Date:Saturday, Dec. 27 Stream:Peacock Matchup:TBD Peacock continues its tour around the NFL calendar. After hosting a playoff contest and the Brazil game in 2024, they're getting into the holiday spirit with "The Peacock Holiday Exclusive" in Week 17 in 2025. The streamer will host a Saturday doubleheader after Christmas on Dec. 27, with matchups that will be chosen at a later date.
